La Medicina Narrativa si dà appuntamento al San Donato
Tre giorni di Congresso nazionale: la buona cura parte dalla relazione tra medico e paziente. Aperta al pubblico la testimonianza dell’oncologa Maria Giovanna Luini

Si terrà ad Arezzo da giovedì 10 a sabato 12 maggio, presso l’Auditorium dell’Ospedale San Donato, il II Congresso Nazionale della Società Italiana di Medicina Narrativa (SIMeN), dal titolo “La complicità nella cura, il racconto dei racconti.”
Sabato 12 maggio, dalle 9 alle 13, l’evento sarà aperto a tutta la cittadinanza per condividere le conclusioni degli esperti e ascoltare il racconto dell’oncologa Maria Giovanna Luini. La professionista ha lavorato per anni a stretto contatto con Umberto Veronesi e racconterà le sue esperienze con i pazienti. Consapevole che l’uomo è un essere complesso e meraviglioso e il corpo ne è solo una parte, secondo Luini la ricerca e l’ascolto, la comprensione, l’empatia dovrebbero essere per un medico ugualmente importanti, quanto lo studio, la pratica e la cura della malattia.
La Medicina Narrativa è una metodologia d’intervento clinico-assistenziale che valorizza la singola storia del paziente come unica e irripetibile, contestualizzandola nell’ambiente di cura. L’obiettivo è di costruire un percorso condiviso attraverso la relazione tra il professionista e il paziente .
“Complicità nella cura” è quanto vuole trasmettere Stefania Polvani, sociologa della Asl Toscana Sud Est e Presidente della Società Italiana Medicina Narrativa (SIMeN) . “Quello della complicità è un concetto che ben qualifica la relazione di cura basata sulle narrazioni – spiega la dottoressa Polvani – Ma il Congresso ha anche un sottotitolo a cui sono molto affezionata: il Racconto dei racconti. Questo è l’obiettivo finale: vogliamo raccogliere i racconti delle esperienze di medicina narrativa per avere un documento semplice e co-costruito della Medicina Narrativa in Italia, una fotografia dell’esistente e una riflessione per promuoverne l’applicazione nella cura”.
Sarà presente al Congresso tutta la direzione della Asl Toscana sud est. “ Coerentemente con i valori della Medicina Narrativa- spiega Simona Dei direttore sanitario Asl toscana sud est- crediamo che il patto di cura si abbia in minor tempo se alla base c’è una relazione buona tra curato e curante. Il 50% dei reclami che riceviamo sono infatti imputabili ad una mancanza di comunicazione efficace tra medico e paziente, comunicazione che si può ottenere solo instaurando una buona relazione tra le parti”.
Non solo parole ma esperienze concrete: saranno infatti sette medici provenienti da tutt’Italia, a illustrare attraverso la loro esperienza di pratica della Medicina Narrativa in diversi contesti e aree terapeutiche, i vantaggi per gli operatori, i pazienti e l’organizzazione. Con loro, tra i partner dell’iniziativa sul territorio, c’è anche l’OPI (ordine delle Professioni Infermieristiche) di Arezzo e l’Ordine Provinciale dei Medici.
Da qualche mese è partita la formazione del personale dell’intera Asl Toscana sud est sui temi dell’umanizzazione delle cure, per porre l’attenzione sul paziente come persona e non come un numero, attraverso il progetto “Buongiorno io sono”. Il progetto riprende e contestualizza nel territorio la campagna internazionale “Hellomynameis”, promossa da Trisha Greenhalgh, della Oxford University, uno dei massimi esperti a livello mondiale di Medicina Narrativa, che sarà ospite del Congresso al San Donato.
